From 1957 to 1984 in East Germany/GDR altogether 44 Z-226 were in use.
Until 1965 3 Z-226 T6 were flown by the Armeesportklub Vorwärts of
the NVA (Nationale Volksarmee = Armed Forces of East Germany/GDR).
